Doolin Festivals 2019
Doolin is not short of a festival or two with no fewer than five festivals taking place annually. The Doolin Writer's Weekend kicks off the festival season on the 25th-27th of January. The Russell Memorial Weekend takes place between the 21st-25th of February. A new introduction for 2019, is the Doolin Surf Festival which takes place on the weekend of March 22-24th. The Doolin Folk Festival will again play host to the best of trad and folk from around the country, it takes place between June 14th-16th. The Doolin Harley Festival, in its fifth year, takes place the last weekend in August. If that is not enough, there is also the matchmaking season in nearby Lisdoonvarna during September.
The Doolin Writers' Weekend takes place this year at Hotel Doolin from the 25th-27th of January 2019. The weekend is an eclectic mix of workshops, readings, theater, music and food and has something for every level of a writer from beginners to expert wordsmiths and lovers of literature alike.

Following on from the success of the previous years, Doolin Folk Festival 2019 will take place over 3 days from the 14th-16th June, in a marquee on the lawn of Hotel Doolin. Doolin is famed the world over for its traditional Irish music and the idea of the festival is to bring back to Doolin any traditional & folk musicians who have had a connection with the area over the years.

Doolin Surf Festival, also known as ‘Doolin Surfest’, takes place on the weekend of the 22nd – 24th March 2019 and is hosted by Hotel Doolin. This 3-day festival is run by people who love the sea. The festival will host a number of film screenings, guest speakers, art exhibitions, workshops, competitions, bands and DJs, and the best of sustainable local food and hospitality – a weekend not to be missed!

Doolin Harley Festival in the Pavilion, Lisdoonvarna from August 30th to September 1st. The festival features a custom Harley Bike Show, bike graphics, tattoo artists, stalls, fireworks display, pub sessions, live bands and a Burren ride out. The Doolin Harley Festival is a charity event, run in aid of the Marie McDonagh Clancy Foundation.
